These 15 minute outdoor sessions provide the perfect opportunity to capture your dog’s unique spirit in a quick and engaging format against the backdrop of the local area.

Our standard sessions are held outdoors and are 45-60 minutes long to provide ample time to photograph your dog's unique personalities, creating a collection of 20 timeless images of you and your dog (s).

here's our process:
I. Book the date.
Visit my booking page where you will be able to book a session that works best for you, send payment, and complete a questionnaire to help me prepare for your session and make it the best experience possible!
II. The photo session
After reading over your questionnaire, I will contact you so we can choose a location that best fits what you're looking for. During the session, you will be guided through a variety of activities and poses. My main goal is for you to all have fun and eventually forget I'm even there!
III. memories delivered
After the session, you will receive a full gallery within 1-2 weeks consisting of the best images from your session to choose from (that's right, you get to pick and download your pictures) You will also have the option to order quality prints to create the perfect keepsake.

What kind of photography do you specialize in?
At Fetching Fotos, I specialize in capturing the unique personalities and memorable moments of pets and their people.
Where are the photo sessions held?
I offer a variety of beautiful locations where we can take your photos, depending on the look and feel you want. Mini sessions are scheduled throughout the year in some of the most picturesque areas of northern Nova Scotia.
Can I be in the photos with my pet?
Absolutely! I encourage pet owners to join in the session. Capturing the bond between you and your pet can result in some truly heartwarming photos.
What should I bring to the photo session?
Bring your pet’s favourite toys, treats, and any accessories you’d like to include in the photos. Don't forget your leash and some water.
How do I prepare my pet for the session?
Make sure your pet is well-fed and has had a chance to burn off some energy before the session. This will help them be calm and cooperative during the shoot. Feel free to bring along their favorite toy or treat to keep their attention.
How long after the session will I receive my photos?
You can expect to receive your edited digital images within 1-2 days after your mini session. For standard sessions, it can take up to a week to process and deliver your photos. I'll provide you with a private online gallery where you can view and download your photos and order prints.
Can I reschedule or cancel my session?
Yes, you can reschedule or cancel your session up to 24 hours before the appointment. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes to your booking.
What if my pet doesn’t cooperate during the session?
We understand that pets can be unpredictable! We take a patient and playful approach to ensure we capture great photos, even if your pet is feeling shy or energetic. If needed, we can extend the session or reschedule for another day.
Are there any additional fees for travel?
I offer free travel within the Truro area. For locations outside this area, a small travel fee may apply. Contact me for details if you're unsure.
My dog is reactive/nervous - can we still book?
As a reactive dog owner myself, I can empathize and understand how you’re feeling! I genuinely understand your concerns and aim to provide a portrait session that’s enjoyable and stress-free for both you and your dog. I’ll make every effort to create a comfortable environment for your pet, selecting locations that minimize distractions and potential hazards. If your dog is anxious, I'll maintain a respectful distance, and you are welcome to bring anything that helps keep them calm and content.
Please note: If at any point I feel that the session poses a risk to either myself or the dog, I may need to reschedule or cancel for safety reasons. My priority is to ensure that your dog is neither overstimulated nor frightened, and in cases of uncontrollable aggression, we will need to halt the session for everyone's well-being.
